Carolina Eyck at Prague Spring Festival.
Carolina Eyck creates layers of sound colors with her voice and theremin, playing with loops and effects. In her solo set, she is performing her own compositions and arrangements. The style of the music varies between jazz, contemporary and experimental. While many parts are composed, there is always space for improvisations.
For the second part of the concert, Jan Kučera on the piano will be joining Carolina on stage. They will perform some old classics, arranged for theremin and piano you might have heard before, such as the “Swan“ by Camille Saint-Säens and the “Vocalise“ by Sergei Rachmaninoff.
The musicians will also surprise the audience with spontaneous improvisations and if you are in the audience and would like try playing the theremin yourself, this might be your chance!
