Carolina Eyck brings music from her newest album, Elegies for Theremin & Voice, to Los Angeles for this concert celebrating the album's release and the centennial of the invention of the theremin. Elegies for Theremin & Voice features Eyck's inventive original compositions and improvisations — a meditation on mortality and loss, it is a haunting work in which Eyck surprises us with her vocal prowess.
This concert will utilize a surround sound system, allowing Eyck’s theremin to break free and fill the space, in sync with the movement of her dance-like performances.
Butterscotch Records released Elegies for Theremin & Voice on September 27, 2019.
Sarah Belle Reid will be opening the evening with a trumpet & electronics performance.
